Chisinau Circus will be renovated under the EU-funded Economic Growth Plan worth €1.9 billion

The Chisinau Circus is entering a new phase of rehabilitation aimed at its complete reopening, as part of the Economic Growth Plan funded by the European Union. This announcement follows a working visit by Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan, who inspected the building's condition and discussed development priorities with the institution's administration.
The press release from the Ministry of Culture states that important repair work was previously carried out at the Circus in Chișinău, supported by European funds and UNDP. These repairs included restoring the roof and dome and replacing windows, with a total cost of nearly 2 million euros.
The institution is now preparing for a new phase of rehabilitation to fully reopen the complex, a project that is also part of the Economic Growth Plan.
Currently, the Small Hall at the Circus operates with a capacity of 300 seats, and the Circus will commence its winter season on December 25, according to the source.
Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan also visited the "Nicolae Sulac" National Palace, where discussions focused on ventilation systems, waterproofing, and employee salaries. The institution, with a history of over fifty years, employs approximately 440 people and hosts esteemed groups such as the "Lăutarii" Orchestra, the "Fluieraș" Ensemble, the "Mugurel" Orchestra, as well as the "Noroc" and "Milenium" bands.
Both the Chișinău Circus and the "Nicolae Sulac" National Palace are managed by the National Concert and Artistic Management Organization "Moldova-Concert."
