Rescuers and firefighters’ caravan returns for Christmas with lighted emergency vehicles and charity actions

The General Inspectorate for Emergencies, jointly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will launch on Christmas Eve the "Rescuers and Firefighters Caravan - 2025 edition", an event dedicated to the winter holidays, which aims to bring joy, light and the spirit of Christmas closer to citizens, through a festive route on the streets of Chisinau and charity actions carried out in social and medical institutions.

The launch event is scheduled for the evening of December 24, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. It will take place in front of the Ministry of Internal Affairs headquarters. According to a press release from the General Inspectorate for Emergencies (IGSU), several fire and rescue trucks, decorated in festive costumes, will travel through the streets of Chisinau, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere for residents.

The caravan will begin its route on Calea Ieșilor Street, moving to Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, No. 75, before arriving at the event location. After the launch, the caravan will continue its journey through the capital's streets.

Additionally, firefighters and rescuers, in collaboration with several partners, will conduct charitable actions in medical institutions and placement centers.

IGSU representatives urge all citizens to participate in the event and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

"We invite everyone, from young to old, to join us in experiencing the magic of the winter holidays together and to enjoy live carols, music, and a magical atmosphere," the official message states.

IGSU emphasizes that the purpose of the caravan is to promote solidarity and the spirit of giving, reminding everyone that "the true magic of Christmas begins when we choose to give through simple gestures that come from the heart."
