Ukrainian refugees protest in Constanța against the war: “Stop crimes, torture, and child deportations”

On Sunday, February 22, over 100 Ukrainian refugees gathered at the Archaeological Park in central Constanta, Romania, to protest against Russia's war in Ukraine, according to G4Media.ro. The protesters chanted in front of the Russian Consulate, saying, "Russia is a terrorist state" and "Putin should go to court."

Ukrainian flags are waved, accompanied by banners that read "Stop Deportation of Ukrainian Children," "Murders," "Kidnappings," and "Torture."

The event will include a broadcast of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s speech from the first day of the war, when he announced the start of the Russian invasion.

Every year around February 24, the Ukrainian refugee community in Constanța, one of the largest in Romania during the early years of the war, holds a protest.

We remind you that February 24, 2026, marks four years since the beginning of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
