Moldovan Ambassador to Israel: “Security situation remains complex”

The security situation in Israel is complex, according to Alex Roitman, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Israel. He warned that attacks from Iran on Israel may continue in the coming days or even weeks.

“We ask everyone to continue respecting the precautionary measures. It is crucial that we remain in the anti-missile shelters and do not leave the protected areas until the Home Front Command gives the all-clear,” said Alex Roitman.

The ambassador indicated that this situation “may last for several more days” and urged Moldovan citizens to avoid non-essential travel during this time.

“New instructions will be provided, so please pay attention to the updated information,” the ambassador concluded.

According to Alex Roitman, the security situation remains “unpredictable.” He explained, “As is customary in times of conflict in Israel, the army is taking all necessary measures to protect citizens. There are special instructions for both Israeli citizens and foreigners.”

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova currently in Israel can voluntarily register their presence and request emergency consular assistance by calling +972 52-278-7326 or +972 52-778-9772. They can also reach the consulate by email at [email protected].

We would like to remind you that, due to the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated a Crisis Cell. This cell continuously monitors developments in the region and coordinates the activities of the Republic of Moldova's diplomatic missions. It also provides recommendations for citizens in affected areas.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chișinău has announced that there are no Moldovan citizens among the victims in Israel, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, or Turkey. The Crisis Cell operates around the clock to monitor security developments in the region and coordinates with Moldova's diplomatic missions.
