Explosion in an apartment in Chisinau. Ambulance takes one person
One person was taken by ambulance after an explosion followed by a fire at an apartment on 20 Constantin Vârnav Street in Chisinau.
According to Liliana Pușcașu, spokesperson for the General Inspectorate for Emergencies (IGSU), flames broke out in a fourth-floor apartment. Four firefighting teams responded to the scene.
Firefighters contained the fire by 14:38 and are still working to completely extinguish it.
Specialists will determine the cause of the explosion and all circumstances of the incident.
