Moldexpo launches development tender

The area of the former amusement park in the Valea Morilor Park, along with the adjacent spaces managed by the Moldexpo Exhibition Center, will be leased for the development of modern sports and leisure facilities. This development will feature courts for pickleball, badminton, and padel, as well as a culinary area.
Moldexpo Director Zinaida Popa announced at a press conference on April 27 that a tender for the development of the company's unused spaces will be held on May 11. Economic agents with experience in sports and leisure activities are encouraged to participate.
The first area proposed for development is the site of the former "Aventura Park," where modern padel courts will be constructed. Padel is a racket sport similar to tennis, typically played on a smaller court surrounded by a metal grid.
"Previously, there were amusement rides for children in that area, but they posed safety risks for visitors. Therefore, I proposed that the area be developed," said Zinaida Popa.

Nearby, courts for various racket sports, including pickleball and badminton, will also be established. Additionally, the area with uneven terrain is proposed for the development of a "pump track" designed for scooters, skateboards, and bicycles.
Zinaida Popa emphasized that no deforestation will be permitted and that all initiatives must incorporate the existing natural infrastructure. In conjunction with the sports and recreational areas, an open-concept space for gastronomy and relaxation will also be created.
"On May 11 at 1:00 p.m., the bidding will take place for the development of these four areas," stated the director of Moldexpo.
Moldexpo is the largest exhibition complex in the Republic of Moldova, hosting various exhibitions, fairs, and events aimed at promoting the business environment.
