Ukraine strikes Titan-Barikady missile plant in Volgograd

The Ukrainian military struck the Titan-Barikady defense plant in Volgograd with FP-5 Flamingo missiles on Saturday night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced.

According to the Ukrainian leader, the operation targeted a major industrial complex dedicated to producing artillery systems and specialized military hardware. Zelenskyy confirmed that a direct hit triggered a subsequent fire on the factory grounds.

Volgograd Governor Andrey Bocharov previously reported that local air defenses repelled an attack by high-speed aerial targets. However, he acknowledged that the strike damaged production facilities within the Krasnooktyabrsky district.

The Krasnooktyabrsky district hosts the Titan-Barikady scientific and production center. Open-source data identifies the facility as a critical defense enterprise specializing in artillery and rocket technology.

The governor stated that ten people sustained injuries during the incident. He noted that no damage occurred to residential properties in the area.

Every Russian defense industry facility supporting the war against Ukraine constitutes a legitimate target, Zelenskyy stated on his Telegram account.

The Ukrainian president added that the geography of Ukraine’s long-range capabilities continues to expand. He emphasized that sustained pressure creates the necessary conditions to achieve a dignified peace.
