One dead, one injured in Ceadîr-Lunga grenade blast
A 51-year-old apartment owner was killed and another man was critically injured in an explosion on Tuesday morning, August 25, in Ceadîr-Lunga, the General Police Inspectorate reported.
The second victim, aged 47, was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
The homeowner's wife was inside the residence during the incident but remained unharmed.
Preliminary findings
Preliminary findings indicate that the blast was triggered by the detonation of a hand grenade. Law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation to determine the origin of the munition, how it entered the residential premises, and the full circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
