Russia is reportedly preparing a new massive attack on Ukraine, according to information obtained by Ukrainian intelligence services. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this following a discussion with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham. The two discussed Ukraine's security, protecting the population, and preparations for the cold season.
"Currently, there is intelligence indicating that Russia is preparing another massive attack on Ukraine," Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on social media.
According to the Ukrainian president, discussions with the British Prime Minister also focused on available diplomatic avenues and identifying additional air defense resources for Ukraine. Zelenskyy said he maintains an "ongoing dialogue" with partners on this issue, Ukrayinska Pravda reports.
The Ukrainian president reiterated that as long as the population remains exposed to daily missile and drone attacks, there can be no question of lifting sanctions against Russia.
Meanwhile, the United Kingdom has announced the allocation of £100 million (equivalent to €116 million) for an air defense package for Ukraine ahead of winter. The package includes missiles for Patriot systems, and the weaponry will be delivered via the PURL mechanism.
On Tuesday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that U.S. President Donald Trump "appears willing" to grant Ukraine licenses to manufacture missiles for Patriot systems.
