Modern equipment and alternative therapies featured at the 'MoldMedizin & MoldDent 2026' exhibition
From modern rehabilitation equipment to natural stone therapies and Eastern practices, Chișinău is showcasing it all these days. The "MoldMedizin & MoldDent 2026" exhibition features 150 companies from six countries, showcasing medical technologies and solutions.
Some of the equipment comes from Romania and is intended for medical rehabilitation.
"We sought to bring in what we call high-end devices—modernized versions of classic technologies. We want to introduce these new technologies to the market in the Republic of Moldova and help improve the medical rehabilitation process there," notes Claudiu Bătinelu, a clinical specialist.
One of the devices showcased uses radial shockwaves and is designed to treat orthopedic conditions as well as muscle and joint pain. A doctor determines the treatment plan.
"The advantage is that it is a therapy that takes very little time—just a few minutes. It is a quick therapy that is comfortable for both the patient and the therapist," explains Claudiu Bătinelu.
Among the items on display are products made from natural stones, which exhibitors say can have therapeutic effects and support well-being.
"Everyone is familiar with amber, for instance. It protects the family and helps a woman carry and give birth to a healthy child. It is also used to protect the home against fire and is, in general, a therapeutic stone," says Nina Avidon, a folk artisan.
Among the practices showcased is Falun Dafa, an Eastern practice based on movement, meditation, and breathing exercises.
"It is an ancient practice rooted in Eastern cultural tradition, originating in China. It strongly resembles Tai Chi and yoga. It consists of five sets of smooth, slow, and soothing exercises that relieve stress," says Oxana Drăguță, a Falun Dafa practitioner.
