Second edition of the Education Week in Moldova. Dan Perciun: "We start a deep dialogue on education’s direction"

A series of events will be held in the Republic of Moldova as part of the second edition of Education Week. According to Dan Perciun, the Minister of Education, this initiative is aimed at university professors, students, pupils, parents, educators, and school directors. The goal is to enhance the quality of the educational process in the country.
The Minister of Education said in a conference that "this initiative aims not only to mark the end of the school year symbolically but also to foster a meaningful conversation about the future of education in the Republic of Moldova. It was developed to highlight important topics such as the education of our children and youth, the work and dedication of teachers, the involvement of parents, the support of civil society, and the contributions of businesses."
Dan Perciun noted that this year's Education Week will feature 18 events centered around three key activities. The opening event, scheduled for May 22, will bring together representatives from all levels of education to present the Ministry's vision for the strategic directions of educational development for the coming years.
On May 24, the conference "Dialogues for the Future: Education between Algorithm and Humanity" will occur at the Mihai Eminescu National Theater. This event will gather esteemed guests from both Moldova and abroad to discuss one of the most significant challenges facing contemporary education: the impact of artificial intelligence on schools. "We will explore how artificial intelligence will affect what we teach, how we teach, and what skills we need to develop, while also emphasizing the essential role of schools in shaping values, character, and humanity," said Dan Perciun.
Education Week will conclude with a national university fair to promote universities in the Republic of Moldova and the teaching profession.
The first edition of Education Week in the Republic of Moldova was held at the end of April last year.
