Customs traffic at Leova temporarily suspended due to rising the Prut River levels
The Leova customs post will be temporarily closed until 6:00 p.m. due to maintenance work on the pontoon bridge at the "Leova–Bumbata" crossing point. The Customs Service implemented this measure in response to the significant increase in the Prut River's level.
To prevent potential delays, authorities recommend that participants in cross-border traffic use nearby customs points: Cahul–Oancea, Leușeni–Albița, Sculeni, or Giurgiulești–Galați.
Additionally, the State Hydrometeorological Service has issued a warning for intensive water runoff on slopes and local flooding from May 26 to May 28. The Republic of Moldova is also under a yellow code warning for heavy rains during this period.
