Romanian President Nicușor Dan will visit Chișinău on June 10

Romanian President Nicușor Dan will make an official visit to Chișinău on June 10. The leader from Cotroceni announced this during his first press conference since taking office on June 4.
The leader from Cotroceni previously expressed his desire for his first foreign visit as president to be to the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing the special relationship between the two countries. During the inauguration ceremony, Nicușor Dan highlighted that key priorities in bilateral relations include supporting the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, expanding and strengthening joint projects in energy and transport infrastructure, and establishing a guarantee fund for Romanian investments in Moldova.
Nicușor Dan won the Romanian presidential elections with over 6.1 million votes, leading by more than 829,000 votes over his opponent, George Simion. In the Republic of Moldova, support for Nicușor Dan was notably strong, with 88% of Romanian citizens voting for him at 64 polling stations across the country. This amounted to 138,320 votes out of over 158,000 cast.
