NATO sees no signs of direct Russian military involvement in the Republic of Moldova

A senior NATO official stated on the sidelines of the summit in The Hague that the alliance has not yet seen any direct involvement of Russian military intervention in the Republic of Moldova. However, Moscow is attempting to undermine democratic institutions in Chisinau.

A senior official stated, "We continue to observe disinformation campaigns on social media," emphasizing that Russia is employing hybrid tactics to influence the country's democratic trajectory. He also noted that there are no signs of direct military involvement. NATO is closely monitoring the situation in the region, with AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control Systems) aircraft assisting in the oversight of airspace near Moldova. The official reiterated the importance of the NATO-Moldova Partnership Program, which supports efforts to resist hybrid threats.
