Professionals mentor dozens of teens from orphanages in career development

Over the course of five days, dozens of teenagers from orphanages and children with special needs had the opportunity to explore various professions, including chef, firefighter, and police officer. They were guided in their career choices and had the chance to meet professionals from different fields. This program, dedicated to their professional development, has been organized for four consecutive years.

Our motto: first nice, then confident

We have had the opportunity to learn from various professions, including chefs, engineers, mechanics, baristas, policemen, firefighters, and rescuers.

Personally, I found the profession of ecologist particularly appealing, as they care for trees, animals, and the environment.

Some young people, many of whom are already pursuing their studies, shared their career aspirations with us.

"I study car mechanics in Comrat and I'm doing quite well. In the future, I would like to open my own car service, and we'll see how everything works out," one student said.

"I explored many professions before settling on one at the College of Construction, focusing on real estate," another participant noted.

Several entrepreneurs took the time to encourage the young people to choose fulfilling careers.

"As I mentioned to them, I wish I had someone to share experiences with when I was 15, someone to talk to about things I couldn't discuss with my teachers," said entrepreneur Victoria Vasilache.

"Of course, financial support, assistance with schooling, and medical aid are essential. However, providing good examples and experiences outside of an institutional setting is crucial for their development," added Daniel Mazepa, a government advisor.

The activities were organized by the "Scenario" Public Association.

"The goal of this camp is to support each child by analyzing psychological tests to uncover their talents, helping them select a profession that aligns with these talents, and guiding them towards suitable educational institutions," explained Olga Levițcaia, president of the "Scenario" Public Association.

A total of 60 young people participated in the camp.
