Murder in Chisinau: Young man allegedly killed his mother, then jumped from fourth floor
A 48-year-old woman tragically died after being stabbed by her son. The incident occurred last night in an apartment located in the Rîșcani sector of Chisinau. According to the General Inspectorate of Police, law enforcement was alerted by a call to the 112 emergency service made by the young man who is suspected of committing the murder.
Arriving at the scene, the police unlocked the door of the house and found the woman's body with signs of violent death. The preliminary investigation shows that the victim was stabbed with a knife in the heart.
When the police and ambulance crews arrived at the scene of the crime, the victim's son, aged 23, jumped from the fourth floor. He survived the fall, but suffered multiple injuries and was urgently transported to the hospital.
The police opened a criminal case for murder and are investigating all the circumstances of this case.
