Prosecutors Octavian Iachimovschi and Alexandru Cernei advance in Vetting
Two prosecutors from the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Octavian Iachimovschi and Alexandru Cernei, were recommended for promotion by the evaluation commission following an external review. The commission sent the final reports on their evaluations to both prosecutors and the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP).
According to the Commission, after a thorough analysis of the collected information and an evaluation of compliance with ethical and financial integrity standards, both prosecutors received a positive assessment and were recommended for promotion.
The Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) has 30 days to review the reports and decide whether to accept or reject the recommendations.
Octavian Iachimovschi currently serves as the interim deputy chief prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, while Alexandru Cernei is a prosecutor within the same office.
