After seven years, the truth reveals a man beaten to death

A man from a village in Florești district died seven years ago after being beaten several times by people trying to force him to work on a farm. At the time, no one was held accountable, the case was covered up, and the forensic examination was falsified.
Currently, officers of the National Investigation Inspectorate, together with prosecutors, resumed the investigation based on a complaint recently filed by the victim's relatives, who provided new details about the circumstances of the crime.
According to the General Inspectorate of Police, the crime occurred in 2018, in a locality in Florești district. Investigators determined that the man was exploited through labor on a farm belonging to the then mayor. The victim was brutally beaten, and his death occurred as a result of mistreatment.
To get conclusive evidence and start the investigation, the authorities ordered the exhumation of the victim and the conduct of a new forensic examination. The results confirmed that the death was caused by violence.
Following the actions taken, four people were detained: the former mayor of the locality, the forensic doctor who falsified the initial examination, and two other accomplices.
The Action and Solidarity Party stated that this case happened in the village of Frumușica. The party also announced that it had withdrawn its political support from the mayor of the locality, who was detained in the murder case. The decision was made by the party's National Permanent Bureau.
"He has never been a PAS member, although he ran for the party in the last local elections", PAS representatives stated.
At the same time, PAS expressed its hope that law enforcement agencies will clarify the case, and the people involved will be punished according to the law.
The investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officers continue to collect evidence and establish all the circumstances of the case.
