Emmy Awards: ‘The Studio’ wins big, Owen Cooper becomes youngest ever winner

The Studio has won Outstanding Comedy Series and 13 awards at the Emmys. The drama Adolescence also took eight awards, including Outstanding Directing and prizes for both its lead and supporting actors. Owen Cooper, aged just 15, has become the youngest ever Emmy winner.

The series Adolescence tells the story of a teenager accused of murdering a classmate. The show also explores the impact of social media, starring Owen Cooper, a teen who became an overnight sensation.

"Being here is surreal. When I first started acting, I never thought I'd make it to the US, let alone this stage. I think tonight proves that when you listen, focus, and step out of your comfort zone, you can achieve anything. Three years ago, I was a nobody. Now I'm here," said actor Owen Cooper.

Seth Rogen also took four awards for The Studio—a satire about Hollywood.

Pitt - a drama focused on the daily lives of medical staff - received three Emmy Awards, including for Outstanding Supporting Actress, which was awarded to Katherine LaNasa. Jeff Hiller was also named Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Somebody Somewhere.

"I feel like I'm going to cry, because for the past 25 years I’ve said: 'World, I want to be an actor,' and the world replied: 'Maybe you should do something with computers'," confessed Jeff Hiller.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert won for Outstanding Talk Series, just two months after CBS had announced the show's cancellation for financial reasons.
