Drugs worth 7.5 million lei seized in one week

From December 15 to 21, drugs valued at 7,484,838 lei were illegally removed from circulation in multiple operations conducted by the police across the Republic of Moldova.

The General Inspectorate of Police has reported multiple cases of trafficking and distribution of narcotic substances. Law enforcement officers have seized significant quantities of various drugs, including synthetic substances and high-risk materials intended for packaging and marketing.

During these operations, police conducted searches, detentions, and investigations, successfully identifying individuals suspected of being involved in drug trafficking networks. The confiscated drugs were earmarked for distribution on the black market, particularly among consumers in urban areas.

All seized substances were submitted for specialized analysis, and ongoing investigations aim to clarify the circumstances surrounding these cases and hold those involved accountable.

The police encourage citizens to report any information related to these illegal activities.
