€2,000 bribe for a driving test: Two suspects from Cahul detained

Two individuals from Cahul were arrested after allegedly attempting to profit quickly by soliciting 2,000 euros to help someone pass the theoretical and practical tests of a driving exam. They are now detained at the National Anticorruption Center (CNA).
According to the CNA, two individuals are suspected of influence peddling on behalf of a third party, assisting them in passing the driving test for category B. A criminal case has been opened against these individuals.
On Tuesday, January 13, law enforcement officers and prosecutors conducted searches at their homes, as well as in their cars and garages. Body searches were also performed on both suspects.
The suspects were detained for 72 hours.
