Accident in southern Moldova: 15-year-old dies, 21-year-old injured

A serious road accident happened on Saturday, March 21, in the village of Svetlîi in Comrat, between a car and a motorcycle. At the handlebars of the motorcycle was a 21-year-old man, with a 15-year-old minor as a passenger. As a result of the collision, the girl died on the spot, and the motorcycle driver was taken over by the medical team.

According to the police, at the moment, law enforcement officers are documenting the case and establishing all the circumstances of the accident.

With the warming weather, the number of people choosing motorcycles is increasing, the General Police Inspectorate warns. Citizens are urged to be cautious, to obey traffic rules, and to be properly equipped to prevent tragedies.

Students from the National Institute of Justice skipped classes for a day and went to the field to help reforest the country. On a plot of land near the village of Pervomaisc, in Căușeni district, they planted over 3,300 acacia saplings on an area of approximately 1.2 hectares. The future prosecutors and judges say that, beyond their chosen profession, they also want to help protect the environment, and the planted trees could start bearing fruit in the coming years.
