The European Commission has proposed the renewal for another year of the suspension of all remaining taxes on imports from the Republic of Moldova, effective from July 2022. The proposal is to be examined by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. The objective is to ensure a smooth transition from the current regime of autonomous trade measures (AMCs) to the new regime by the time the current regimes expire on 24 July 2024, the European Commission announced.
